Travel to School Scheme
This scheme was launched by Mary Darwin, mother of Callum and Rebecca in Class 4. She wanted to reduce unnecessary traffic caused by parents dropping their children off at the school gates. The scheme is proving very popular, and there are two ways you can join and reduce traffic through Littlehaven:
Car sharing
Car sharing works by parents taking it in turn to take a car-load of children to school. Car shares run from the three major estates in the town as well as from outlying villages. Please call the relevant person who has details of car sharers in your area:
Wellbeck Estate - Jack Peterson (345678)
Clowfields - Rebecca Burne (123987)
Ingleton area - Amit Patel (674893)
Villages - Anne Johnson (256488)
Walking Bus
Sue Smith, the school secretary, has details of the walking bus route.
It currently runs through the Wellbeck and Clowfields Estates. Please phone to add your child to the register, and we will advise on the time he/she will be collected.
